First time passes are very hard to come by, requiring a tremendous effort from the student over what can be quite a long time. The driving instructor needs to keep his eye on the ball as well, judging when to progress to the next topic and when the student is completely ready.

Churchdown, where Gemma lives is quite a long way from Gloucester test centre and includes every type of road and roundabout, so it’s a lot to deal with on top of a driving test, but Gemma handled it very well, leading to her driving test success.

Another first time pass!
Massive congratulations to Ed Blackburn, who passed his driving test at the first attempt with his instructor, Tom Lowe on January 27th 2020, with only a few minor driving faults.
Ed had put a lot of effort into preparing for his test pass, managing to fit his lessons in on a regular basis, as well as studying for his A levels, having a part time job and a very busy social set up.
He has his own car now and with such a busy life, gaining his full licence will make things a lot easier, as well as taking the pressure off his Mum, who has always been ready to act as taxi driver when needed!

Another first time pass!
Enormous congratulations to Oliver Griffiths who achieved a brilliant first time driving test pass on 8th January 2020 with his instructor, Sara Povey at Gloucester Driving Test Centre.
Oliver put in such a tidy drive that he only attracted three minor faults in his test, which is very good going, meaning he has a firm grip on driving and road safety.
Olivers driving instructor, Sara was delighted and had this to say:
